Reservation Policy: All room reservations are prepaid at the time of booking and are non-refundable. We encourage guests to confirm their travel plans prior to making a reservation.

To provide you with added privacy and flexability, housekeeping is available upon request.

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your reservation for any reason:
Cancellation 1 week (7 days) prior to reservation date, we will offer you a rain check/credit to be used towards a future stay anytime up to one year.
Cancellation 3-6 days prior to your reservation date, we will offer you a rain check/credit to be used towards a future stay Sunday-Thursday up to one year.

Limited Pet-Friendly Rooms

The Afton House Inn welcomes guests traveling with their pets. To ensure a comfortable stay for everyone, please review the following guidelines.

Pet Registration

  • Pets must be approved and registered before arrival.
  • Please provide your pet’s name, breed, and approximate weight.
  • Pets must be healthy, vaccinated, and well-behaved.
  • The hotel reserves the right to decline any pet that poses a safety concern.

Pet Fee

  • A non-refundable $50 pet fee per day applies.
  • The fee does not cover damage or excessive cleaning. Guests are responsible for any additional charges resulting from their pet.

Guest Responsibilities

Guests must:

  • Keep pets under control at all times.
  • Prevent excessive noise or disturbances.
  • Clean up after their pet.
  • Avoid leaving pets unattended unless properly secured and permitted.
  • Prevent damage to hotel property.

Damage

Guests are responsible for any damage, odors, stains, excessive cleaning, or other pet-related costs. The hotel may charge the payment method on file for repairs, cleaning, or related expenses.

Service Animals

Service animals are welcome in accordance with federal and Minnesota law. They are not subject to pet fees, though guests remain responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear.

Pet Removal

The hotel may require the removal of any pet that is aggressive, disruptive, causes damage, creates a health or safety concern, or violates hotel policies. No refund will be provided if a pet must be removed.
